6 months...

i somehow missed doing a post for david's 5 month... woops... i didnt even take any pics of him in his rocking chair... oh well!!  but here is his 6 month stats.....

weight: 15 pounds (13%)
height: 27 inches (73%)
head: dont remember the inches but 20%

he is just as tall and skinny as his brother...
he is a very happy little guy.  he laughs easily especially at anything daniel does.  he can't quite sit alone yet but we are working on it.  he's not a huge fan of food but doesn't spit it out when he is fed.  he is waking once in the night between 2-5 am.  his hair is getting longer and fuller everyday and is blonde blonde blonde... in the sun it has a pretty golden/reddish hue to it...  he rolls all over in his bed.  you put him in one spot and he will end up on the opposite end in the opposite direction.  he is starting to plank and try to get up on his knees which also means he scoots backwards a lot.  we sure love this pale blue eyed little man.  he's been the perfect addition to the family.

so different from his brother... their coloring couldn't be more opposite...

first office party...

chris officially purchased his new dental office beginning of november... its been scary and exciting and a lot of work.... the staff is wonderful and we decided to throw them a little party at our house.  we took all the furniture out of our family room to make room for tables and chairs... we had mimi's cafe cater with a nice turkey dinner and soups.  we also set up a really fun hot chocolate bar which i failed to take any pictures of!!! most everyone wore their ugly sweaters.. we also had little guess how many candies are in the jar games set up and a raffle.  it was really nice to sit around with everyone and chat and enjoy the food and hot coco... we are really looking forward to 2016 with this wonderful staff....

breakfast with charlie brown and santa...

daniel is now attending preschool at O'Roarke elementary school.... he loves it.  he gets to ride the bus to and from school, and i love it because they pick up and drop off right in front of my house.  he is such a smart boy... he excels at counting and alphabet and shapes and color... but his conversational speech is a little behind.  even that is already so much better since he started going.  last weekend the school was having a little activity and it sounded perfect for daniel we woke up nice and early saturday morning and headed to the school....  we started off eating cereal and watching the charlie brown christmas movie.  chris also enjoyed a nice hot chocolate.... and daniel enjoyed a bowl of whip cream (his favorite)

afterwords he and chris worked on this cute little craft of putting little stickers on this charlie brown christmas scene... daniel loves all things stickers.  he also got to go read with some of the sweetest dogs.... or really he sat and patted them while other kids read books.

he loved seeing santa... and it was perfect because there was no line... he walked right up and sat on his lap.  when santa asked "whats your name?" he pointed right to his chest and said "i'm daniel!"  we've been working on that forever and its so cute to see him actually answer the question when people ask.  he then sat there and smiled and laughed for a bit.

the highlight of the morning was seeing charlie brown... he stood there and played with him forever!  high fives... stomping... hugs. and lots of laughing and jumping.  as we were leaving he said " i love the charlie brown!"

i would say it was totally worth going just for charlie brown.  fun saturday morning.... the only down side is we were home by 9 am and awake and ready for the day with no other plans... haha!

thanksgiving...

this was the first year in a long time that we have been able to have thanksgiving with my family and this was the first year in a very long time that everyone was there.  all my siblings and their kids and my mom and dad.  we had a nice relaxing buffet style thanksgiving with the usual fixing minus a giant turkey... we decided not to bother this year as no one really likes it that much anyway.  we didn't even bother to force the kids to sit and eat.  we let them play and run around while we enjoyed a nice dinner.  they mostly spent their time outside... despite it being very cold!!!

my mom found these giant beach balls and the boys were having a party (with uncle chris) jumping with them on the trampoline...

and playing soccer with them...

finally inside watching a little tv and warming up from the cold outside

emily also had me take some thanksgiving photos of andrew... this one is the post turkey coma
