april showers....

actually we didnt see much rain this april.. very different from last year being in north carolina when it rained so much.  chris flew in early friday morning while daniel and i had been in vegas almost 2 weeks at this point.  he had another interview this time with pacific dental which is a corporate dental company... not something we badly want to do but keeping our options open so he has a job when we move back in may.  that night chris took me on a date to serendipity at cesears palace... food was good  dessert was awesome... and we had a lot of fun walking around the forum shops...

for easter we watched general conference saturday morning and then that afternoon we had an easter egg hunt... chris hid the eggs for everyone... he did some really hard for amanda and super easy for daniel and the other littles... they had a good time finding them and i was really impressed how well daniel did... he even found some hard ones meant for amanda...

the next day we watched the rest of conference and played with axel and gigi... and then flew home that night.  the next day i had a doctors appointment and passed my glucose test! and then we watched duke win the NCAA championship! woo hoo.... i realize i was raised a UNLV rebel.. and that i should by nature hate duke... but i married a duke fan so i have no choice but to learn to love them as well... i still love the rebels... but duke is actually still good so..... 

the worst part about our time living in tucson are the giant coackroaches that infest our apartment... so gross giant 2 inch+ roaches... so gross... and i always find them... 

the next weekend after we got back to tucson we drove up to scottsdale for chris to attend a cerac course.  we stayed in a nearby hotel.  we would drop chris off at the course and then either go back to the hotel or some little adventure... one day we drove to mesa to check out this awesome thrift/antique shop.... i dind't buy anything but it was really fun to look at it all... that same day we went to phoenix to the childrens museum... it started off really fun till the million school buses drove up for a field trip.... it then became crazy busy... and just crazy.... luckily we found one area of cars that daniel wanted to stay in most the time.... he loved the tiny pickle and toothbrush car.. and the motorcycle... they also had this ramp that you could race these cars made of rollerblade wheels and wood... he did that over and over running up and down the ramp to the top...

that night we picked up chris and cheesecake factory for dinner and went back to the hotel to eat.  watched a little masters golf.... the next day we dropped chris off and after breakfast went to an outdoor mall.... we found the little splash pad it had.  i had some ice cream while he played in the water... that afternoon we picked up chris and went swimming at the hotel pool...

daniel was so funny and would climb into the stroller and sit there to watch tv... funny kid....

the next morning we woke up and checked out and went mini golfing... it was super hot... we had a good time... but as we left i had way over heated and started to black out... really freaky.  it happens to me if i get too hot... but its more freaky when you are driving and super pregnant...

on sunday we had a little BBQ at jeffs for the masters... flank steak and potatoes... i made putting green cupcakes.... and jordan spieth won... it was a good day... we took our traditional masters picture we've taken since daniel was born.... 

the next day i worked om the move.  bought dad a plane ticket to come out and help me drive the van back to vegas.   we've also been trying to get a house to rent in vegas.. its been tough since i'm really limited in my area serch to live by either jack or emily.  we luckily locked one down right before the move and are going to be able to move right in.  Susan came to visit in the middle of the month... it was a busy day.  we went with stevie to pick her up at the airport and then went to jeffs office for a bit and then spent the rest of the day at their house.  that night they threw chris a going away party... it was crazy.... had a good time... but it was crazy...

the next day we went to see this air and space museum... daniel and chris both really enjoyed the planes and cars... i was super hot and tired the whole time, but it was still good... that night we had pizza together... which i;m pretty sure made susan and stevies grandma super sick..

the rest of the month was mostly spent packing boxes and chris wrapping things up at tmd.  we are getting really excited to be back in las vegas.  chris took daniel swimming a couple more times at the club house pool...  daniel is such a funny kid... here's his spanish lord cupcake mustache.... new haircut... and one day he fell asleep playing a game on his phone and i about died laughing as the word game he was playing said nap... and he was napping... hahah! hilarious coincidence...

we took the car in for maintenance and while we were waiting for the car we walked over to toys r us and i let daniel walk the aisles... he sat and looked and cars and stuff for a long time... 

hes also been so fun lately being to imaginative and playing games... here he found this lid and decided it was a steering wheel... and took the remotes to be the gear change.... made chris climb in his car too... so funny!

he also got these super cute cars bath toys from aunt sharon... played with them like crazy,,, lined them up over and over...

he's also getting really good at building his own creations out of legos... this is his awesome plane...

our last week in tucson was pretty good... we said goodbye to friends at church, i packed up everything possible... so i made a fort for daniel to play in and he did that most of the week since i had packed up toys... the employees at TMD got chris balloons and a mudpie from red robin for his last day... they are going to miss him.. ready to be on the road!

march march march...

march started out pretty rough... daniel woke the day after we got home from the pinetop trip with a terrible high fever.  he was just lying on the floor moaning and crying... he even seemed a little delirious.   it was tough to get him to take any medicine... i somehow was finally able to get it in him and he perked right up soon after.  the poor kid ended up having a high fever off and on the next couple days.  and once that ended he just has the worst runny nose... so gross...

that weekend chris went up to phoenix for an ismile yearly planning meeting.  he said it was pretty interesting what they had to say.  lots of encouraging speeches and what not to motivate the staff... at home daniel and i had a good day.  i worked on my moms quilt, daniel slept in till 10 am... this week i also had another ultrasound.. this baby is super active.  tough to get good shots of cause he constantly moves...

here i am at 25 weeks...

we decided daniel seemed ready to start potty training.  day one was great! he had zero accidents and even went number 2... yay!  day two was great as far as peeing... but number 2 became a no go... and ended up on my bedroom floor instead... gross!!! the next day he went number two on his bedroom floor!!! after that i decided it was time to put on undies... so it wouldn't end up on the floor... it was really tough to convince him to put them on until he found the buzz lightyear pair... and then thats all he would put on... i had to wash them everyday cause he only wanted buzz! haha!

Chris ran in a 12 mile tough mudder with jeff.  they had a miserable good time.  there's running through mud... obstacle courses... etc.  chris was worn out by the end... running with mud in his shoes was tough.  glad he did it but he probably wont do it again.

daniel does this hilarious thing where he runs to his bedroom window to watch us drive away in our cars... this one day i thought his little face watching me in the dark was so creepy and funny... and chris thought it was hilarious he was doing it naked... we both unknowingly took the same picture from different views and sent them to each other...

daniel also likes to ride in the car in total safety... haha

hes such a funny kid... has all sorts of funny quirks and games he likes to play...

I finished my moms quilt top... its beautiful.  oh man.  it was my first paper piecing project and project it was... but so fun and i learned a ton.  we are now having it professionally quilted. 

chris ended up getting the stomach flu mid march... which then passed onto daniel... i was sure i was going to get it so i postponed my trip to vegas by 2 days... it never came... so we flew out to vegas and the next day i went to see newsies with all the girls in my family... so fun!!!!! halfway through the show i started feeling super sick... by the end of the evening the stomach flu had finally hit me... never fun to be sick while pregnant... and bith pregnancies so far... chris has given me the stomach flu... ha!

while in vegas we met up with one of my favorite friends... and her son ben. we went to the springs preserve and walked around looked at all the displays and had story time... daniels favorite part was playing with the drinking fountain and this little spinning thing... ha! 

the next day chris flew in... just for the a couple hours... he and i went and met matt peers... a potential dental office for us to buy in vegas,,, beautiful office... with lots of potential and matt is eager to sell because he has another dental office in hawaii that he started and he and his family are ready to move to hawaii permanently.  we then took chris back to the airport to fly home... thank goodness for free flights... 

i got my hair done by my awesome friend jessica... we decided to do a red ombre this time... so its dark on top and fades to lighter... i really like it and will be easier to maintain then solid red.

daniel enjoyed lots of playtime with axel... those two are so funny.. and really love each other! they play so well together.

he also took a noasty spill one day and face planted on moms hardwood floor... big fat lip and lots of tears...

he and chris also enjoyed playing with some star wars toys from our childhood... pretty funny.

february 2015....

we started off february with daniel turning 3!!!! woo hoo... he got doughnuts and chocolate milk for breakfast and chris got him a giant firetruck balloon at the grocery store... which lasted pretty much until we moved months later.... so fun! (not!)  he also got a few presents from us.  a package of little soft balls.... an airplane lego set... an airplane from the movie planes... and Buzz Lightyear!!!! after this day anytime he played with the airplane he also had buzz right there with it... they are now considered a pair.   we met up with some friends at the park for a little play date and then that night jeff and stevie and the girls came over and we sang happy birthday and blew out candles and had cupcakes... it was a good day to be three!

this month we also found out we are having another BOY!!!!! woo hoo!!! here i am at 20 weeks... looking pretty good having hardly gained any weight so far.. and the baby's ultra sound... he was of course very wiggly and was transverse so he was a little tough to get very good pics of... stinker...

the rest of the month was spent in typical fashion... i worked on moms quilt... daniel played a lot on his own and always ended up with no clothes on... i finally fixed his rocking horse that was missing a spring and he's been having fun on that.  i ended up getting another dang cold.  chris went golfing with jeff a couple times... they are squeezing in as much as they can before we move.  

the very end of the month we headed up to pinetop with jeff and stevie to a cabin owned by the owner of jeff's company.  it was a four hour drive up a very windy road.  but pretty... forest at the top.  the cabin is on a golf course so the view is fun.  sadly there was not much snow on the ground and it didn't really snow all weekend, but dang it was cold.  we only went out once to a park on the lake... looked out of the dock and then played at the playground there.  it was so cold and windy we didn't stay long.  but daniel of course enjoyed the swings a lot.  chris and jeff taught us the card game eucre that they had learned from their family in michigan.  really fun! chris and i were a pretty awesome team i must say.  the boys did go on one quick sledding trip but it was hald blizzard when they got to the place and was too cold for the kids to stay long.  fun weekend for sure. and a nice way too end the month...
